Lies are essential for any part of the legal profession to survive Rosie.....the government and any legal body including the police..... One lie and your out would leave them all out of work I think....:(
So humans are incapable of surviving without lying then? How sad is that? :( Thank you for your reply D. I don't lie and I'm 81. Wonder why I am doing fine without lying but others drown when they don't? T'is a puzzlement.

Little white lies lubricate society. If your spouse asks "Does my butt look fat in this?" it is almost a universal that you DON'T answer truthfully ...
Big black lies like those told by politicians (of all colours, the Dems aren't lily white either) are inexcusable, but there doesn't seem to be any end to them.
I would argue that m'dear. Why? Well because you adore your spouse so she will always be lovely in your eyes. You might have a favorite dress she wears and you could let her know that. But why couldn't you answer truthfully to her question by saying "you always look beautiful to me". How is that a lie? See? Thank you for your reply R.
