When we talk about jazzy snazzy hi-speed exotic cars do we always go back to WHATTABOUT horse and buggy days? When we talk about the newest electronic thingy gismos do we always go back to WHATTABOUT the pony express and telegraphs? When the subject is the military do we always go back to WHATTABOUT the days of arrowheads made of animal bone? NO! WE DON'T. We talk about what is today and stay on that subject. When it comes to politics brains turn to mush and many always WHATTABOUT what was as bad or worse. What does that have to do with anything? Why keep justifying awful today by pointing out to the awful of yesterday? How is that helpful? What is the point? Why do some people ALWAYS ONLY EVER do that? What a waste of time! Maybe that's the point. Just kill time by talking about the irrelevant inconsequential minutiae so you don't have to deal straight on with the monsters right in front of you TODAY. I see.
