Why is it any more noble than being a healer or a good customer service person?  If you work with your heart and give 100 percent you can not be nobler than that.   Teaching is just one way to serve.  Not the noblest.  Just noble.   Sometimes.  There are a lot of rotten teachers too.  There are a lot of great lawyers and police.   They are no less noble if they do that job to the best of their ability.

A great cop can trump a great teacher.   So can a great doctor.  Most teachers are not putting their lives on the line in the service of duty.  What about a great serviceman?   Do they fall lower on the rung of noble?

There are many liberal professors ruining our Colleges and too many teachers protected by the unions that shouldn't be teaching school.  A good example of failure in teaching is the leaders of today in Washington!

Teaching as a profession does not exist. K-12 teachers are scapegoats; anything goes wrong, they fire a teacher and forget it. University teachers are shills to drag in grant funds. They will tell you with a straight face not to bother them because they didn't get their jobs by being good teachers. Educators know who they work for, and it ain't students.
