Is treatment worthwhile if it only prolongs your pet's life by a matter of months?

i.e. You're told your pet has 4-6 months to live if you do nothing. If you opt for treatment (costing thousands), your pet may live 10 months. Treatment does not necessarily diminish quality of life, but your pet won't be active and playing or anything for the 10 months you have. Do you pursue treatment?

    If a pet would just have several months to live, and treatment is there but it cost thousands and thousands... I wouldnt treat it... we are not rich. Money take long to amass. I wouldnt want to lose all my economy just to give a pet more months to live.

    No treatment. He was blind, diabetic and could barely walk. I hope they do the same for me.

    I know, it's hard.  We let our pooch go too long.  She couldn't even get up to outside.  Still, we don't have much regret because, for all we know, she may have been glad to be alive, having us to take care of her.  Just don't let your pet go until it's evident that, if he/she could speak, he/she  would tell you that life is no longer worth the struggle.

    I couldn't afford to spend thousands. 

    I would make the best of the time we had left. I'd choose euthanasia when his/her suffering became too much.
