When your load is getting too burdensome do you drop some of the baggage so you can move more easily? Ever pick it up again? Why?

Now and then, we all go back and pick up some of the baggage we've cast off now.

Everyone is burdened with baggage (past relationships, addictions, self-esteem, life experiences, etc.).  Unfortunately, dropping that baggage can be hard.  Some baggage we drop and never give it a second glance again.  Some baggage we don't even realize we're carrying.  We become so used to the load that we accept it as 'normal'.  Some baggage we drop and yet go right back and pick it up again.  Although it was cumbersome, it was also somewhat 'comfortable' and we feel kind of lost without it.  Many times when we pick it up again, we find that it weighs more than tit did before we dropped it.

Strength  diminishes as we age  Shuhak. So does agility. What was easily borne when we were younger is harder to carry/bear. Doesn't our baggage choose us? Why would anyone choose it? Thank you for your thoughtful reply and Happy Friday! :)
