You don't hang the instructions on how to cut and paste a video on answermug to the front of it. This is NOT good.  You must find a thumbtack and stick the instructions to your kitchen wall.
You don't feel obligated to hang pictures of your grandkids on the front of it.
You know you can live a happy, uncluttered life in your kitchen because of it.
There are millions of positives to this newly found benefit.
I say, keep the refrigerator just quickly find a new place to post your answermug instructions!

What about all those business cards, dental appointments and Arby's coupons?

My new stainless steel fridge wasn't magnetic.  So I had to pack up all the magnets I had on my old fridge - 3 large boxes of 'em!

Odd. Mine is. It must be a nickel alloy.

Yep.  Probably makes it cheaper to manufacture.  At least without all those magnets the doors should not break.

Doesn't make much difference to manufacturing costs - stainless-steel is usually more expensive than mild-steel but does not need vitreous-enamelling or painting.

Element is right: basic stainless-steel is steel alloyed with nickel (and chromium in some grades); and whilst most of the common types of stainless-steel are practically non-magnetic, some are magnetic.

Two-sided tape or sticky notes will work.

Or take the darned thing back and get a magnetic fridge.

By the time I found out it wasn't magnetic, it would probably be on its last legs.
