The dog I have now is probably the smartest dog I ever had but I bet he only understands 15 to 20 words. Doesn't seem like enough words considering how well we communicate. Cheers!

but we do understand each other kind of in a good way
They know the words the can says when it is opened.
They know quite a few and several can't be said here on the mug
Too many. Sometimes we have to whisper or spell words out so she won't understand.
She seems to understand everything I say, she is scary smart.
My cat knows 'no,' and she hates it. She gets off the table or counter or whatever, but then she hisses at you and won't be your friend for 5 minutes or so.
