Paper always.  EPA may actually finally act to ban plastic retail bags.  California is doing it but the EPA promised to do it years ago nationwide.  The folks at one of my favorite markets were talking about this the other day.

It really irked me when the stores stopped even asking and just loaded up your groceries in plastic.  A few times I let them and when it was time to pay I said by the way, I want paper bags.

I'm such a joy to others sometimes.

  • Yes. I have to pay extra for bags at any store. They want you to bring your own.

I'm not going to bring my own.  I want paper grocery bags........preferably the ones with handles.  Stores don't have them don't have me.  I did make a bunch of fabric bags out of old clothes and sheets, so if I do start taking bags with me they can be laundered each time they are used.
