"A hunka, hunka burning love" is the last description I would apply to Trump.  More like "Give me a barf bag, Trump's on TV again."

First laugh of the day my friend! That "barf bag" got me! I run to get the remote to MUTE him. I can no longer tolerate listening to him. I get nauseated. He thinks he is a hunka hunka burning love. A couple of years ago someone asked him what he sees when he looks in the mirror and he answered "a 35-year-old man". Blind as a bat he is on top of everything else! This is a bit indelicate but I'm only asking this question here. It will not appear anywhere else L. For your eyes only. I wonder if in any of his sexual conquests anyone ever thought he was  a "great" lover? They probably all told him so but I wonder on a scale of 1-10 where he would score really? Shocking that this old lady who avoids stuff like that would think that, right? Except that he is so dam* full of himself I wonder what he really is like to others beneath the covers? Just between thee and me of course! :)

LOL ... If you pay someone enough, they'll say anything you want to hear.  As for what I would see under the covers - a hunka, hunka, burning lard.

Funnee hunnee! OK. I Googled "Face the Nation interview with Kevin McAleenan" and read the entire transcript of the interview. Maybe reading it in black and white would give you the same perspective I have. He defended the president at every juncture. Anyone who does that and makes excuses falls into the black kettle or black pot with me L. I might have reacted as you did had I watched/listened on May 19. But in cold print? Another toady sycophant doing what he is told to do and say what he knows will pass the test. Honestly I tried to look at it objectively but at one point the gal asked him "so you disagree with the president then"? He spun it and redirected it to come off like a nice little obedient boy who knows he is being watched and tracked and monitored and DARE NOT speak a wrong word because it will be heard and reported. Some kerfuffle allegedly took place between him and Stephen Miller and when the gal interviewer brought it up he said he would NOT engage in conversation about anything like that. So he didn't answer truthfully. He chickened out. SIGH. :( This post was edited by RosieG at May 27, 2019 7:54 AM MDT

I wouldn't expect anyone in any administration to come on TV and directly contradict the president.  I'm not sure what happened between him and Miller, but I think McAleenan was right not to discuss it publicly.  A lot of people have had a problem with Miller and most of them are now gone.  From what I've seen, there are two kinds of people who will work under Trump - the ones who are looking to court favor with him and those who want to try and serve the country and be the adult in the room like Mathis, Tillerson, et al.    The second group doesn't fare very well, but if McAleenan is in that group, more power to him.
