Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» I accidentaly discovered how to make banana juice. I've never seen this before and it is really supercalifragalistic. Do you know how?
I swear! We must be traveling in the Twilight Zone. I had never heard of literal, "banana juice" before last night. I was talking to m&d, like try to do every Sunday, and dad gave me a quick D.I.Y. tip involving banana juice!! Please allow me to pass it on: After you are done eating the banana, take the peel and cut into small peices. Put some water in your blender and add banana peel. Blend about a minute or a so until it is pulverized. Put a small amount around your house plants and it will give them well-needed potasium you didn't even know they were missing. There you go! Another use for banana juice! :) :)

I am thrilled about this. I had NO idea. My banana juice is one that you can use in cooking.
All you do is get a bunch of bananas (I like organic, but not necessary since they get frozen anyway) and freeze them then you defrost them. That's it. the banana deteriorates to the point where it is very dissolved and it is sitting in a lot of liquid. That is the banana juice. Use it in smoothies, banana bread, anything you want.
Sure. Me too. I like to put a whole banana in a smoothie because it thickens it a lot But this is a different thing. See that pic up there I posted? It is clear like that.
If you get a bunch of bananas (let them get ripe) and then freeze them all. Then defrost them. The banana kind of half dissolves and there is a lot of liquid left behind. So that is the juice. I use the whole banana and just put it in a blender like you say, with other fruits. Great for banana pudding too, I'm sure.
