Just heard that Senator Kamala Harris hired 65 people for her campaign to work in IOWA! WHAT?

Why is Iowa so great it rates that many people? As Iowa goes so goes the nation? Tarnation! Campaign costs in the bazillions of millions? Sheesh.

Iowa only rates that great because it has the nation's first contest.

I kind of feel bad for a state that's known only for politicians going there to campaign and pretend to be regular people by putting on a pair of overalls, rolling around in pig crap and doing a really bad impression of some kind of southern accent.

I think state contests should all be close to being at the same time to shorten campaigning season.

Oh sweetie ya got me with "pig crap "! BAD ROSIE! I'm giggling and I can't stop! Funny you should mention that last sentence Liv. I was thinking about asking a question regarding WHY we have such a LONG campaign time before a prez election this very morning? Geez Louise it is about one and one-half YEARS away until election day and here we are now looking forward to listening to these folks debate one another starting this month? By election day we're gonna be so sick and tired of all of it and them maybe we will boycott the election. Why not have all of it happen within six months of election day? Campaigning/debating/fundraising. Have all primaries on the same day in every state to see who will be on the slate. Have the conventions the first week of September on the same day! Then we will know who the candidates will be and they will have two months to convince us to vote for then. PLENTY OF TIME. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :)
