(Pssst... FYI - Bucket-O-Gruel was shut down by the health department on Tuesday, as the chicken heads they use in making the gruel tested positive for E. coli.)
Bucket-O-Nothing. A bucket of anything is too much food unless it's for a whole family.
There are several gruels that vegetarians often enjoy for winter breakfasts, usually made from oats, wheat, barley, rice or corn, with chopped dried fruits, butter or coconut oil and a touch of salt - soaked in water or milk overnight and then simmered for a few minutes into a gruel or porridge the next day. There's a savoury Asian version which is delicious.
Most vegetarians are into healthy foods. The takeaway or to-go foods are limited and usually too unpalatable (quite disgusting in taste, texture and processed ingredients) to be worth bothering with - but vegetarians do still snack on them occasionally, in a pinch. Many vegetarians get in the habit of pre-preparing their snacks or lunches: sandwiches, samosas, pies or sushi; soups or stews in a thermos; salads, boiled eggs, cheese and bread, dried fruit and nuts. Cheaper, healthier, more delicious.
