Has justice lost credibility? (See one reason below.)

Brock Turner, rapist of unconscious woman, gets 6 months in jail, as his punishment, which seems like injustice. Then his time is cut in half, so he gets out in three month! This is justice? Does this make sense? Are our laws written to be manipulated so as to cause such an injustice? So I wonder about the meaning of Justice. What does it really mean?

And yet, there are people serving 20 years in prison for minor drug offenses.

    Hello M:

It certainly appears so..  However, "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice"

    Martin Luther King said that.

At first blush, it seems that justice has not been served with such a short sentence that was then reduced by half.  However, he is now a convicted felon and for the rest of his life will be a registered sexual offender.  His career chances are shot to hell.  He'll be lucky to get a job sweeping floors in some bodega.
