Is this why my IQ is less than 150? IS this the REASON?
I have news for those with HIGH IQ's. You guys are not smart. You merely have an attraction to weeding through long, boring content, like stats, and legal briefs and charts and puzzles.
I am smart. I just cannot CARE about solving this garbage. It is just so boring to me.
One of the attributes of high IQ's is that we are rather quick at solving some of the problems that you judge to contain "long, boring content"---but like you we avoid long, boring content when it involves things we have no interest in.
What did you learn in 6th grade? I swear, Don has told more 6th grade jokes than any man should ever have remembered. I think that is all he learned in 6th grade.
I always seemed to know as much as the teacher, except for vocabulary. I learned how to play football and baseball. I learned the best place to find snakes and frogs. I learnt how to fish.
I didn't know as much as teacher but I did know a lot about sports and that Troy wanted to hold my hand in line. One of my best teachers was Mr. Goodwin in the 4th grade. You'll be happy to know that as little (or as much) as you can learn in the 4th grade about science, he taught very well. I think he was a science teacher on the natch. He loved science! He was and still is my favorite, overall teacher. See? Students DO remember teachers that make a difference. Even after all these years. I can say, you've made a difference in my life at 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52. I think of you as my favorite, smart, and fun adult teacher! ;) :)

Thank you. They didn't teach any science until 7th grade. I don't think the teachers knew any, including my 7th grade one. I asked her a question once and she told me I wouldn't understand it. That pissed me off. Don't ever tell me I won't understand something. It also told me she didn't know the answer. She is one of the reasons I eventually became a science teacher.
Something's not right about the thick lines of the diagonals on those triangles. They blur the exact position at which the diagonal would dissect the graph lines.
The secret is the total area of all of the individual pieces combined. They are the same in both cases. The hole is not part of that area. You can rearrange the blocks anyway you want and get other holes and spaces and they will have the same area.

The lines of the triangles aren't straight. They have a gentle curve that the eyes do not readily notice. Hence my answer.
If you look closely the boxes of the grid cut by the slope are different. When you rearrange it. You put the difference all into one whole unit instead if breaking up the area into miniscule amounts across a vector.
