Supplies: Do you have paper clips?

If so, do you have the pretty colourful ones or the silver/grey boring ones?
If you don’t have paper clips, do you have a stapler? If you do not have paper clips or a stapler, how do you keep your papers that belong together, together? Just stack them in order and hope that they don’t get separated or switched around??!!!
I’m not a fan of staplers, and prefer paper clips, but even a staple is better than just letting all you papers lay around all willy-nilly. That’s just WRONG.

Don't ask why, but I got a ton of paper clips. Just the small silvery ones.

It was an impulse buy. Now, why would a guy like me buy those things as an impulse buy? WTF is wrong with me?

  • Lol :) well now you have them.  I bought a pack of 500 tea light candles on an impulse buy once. They’re dumb, I’ve never used one. At least paper clips are useful for stuff.

  • Which is your preference? If you could only choose one option for the rest of your life, paper clips or stapler?

Stapler, because it has uses other than holding paper together.

Staple papers to the wall. (Much easier than thumbtacks)
    Repair a box.

Doctor use staples on cuts but those are a different kind.

I scan important papers and keep it in the .pdf on the computer. If someone needs a copy I email it to them or fax through the computer.

    I loose printed papers.

  • That’s smart, the company I work for has gone “paperless“. I seem to have to deal with a lot of paper,  for a paperless company.

Lol. But it sounds so good to stock holders and for advertising as a "green" company.

Paperless doesn't mean green.  Green has to do with energy use.  Use, reuse, and recycle sustainable materials is what going green is about.  Paper uses trees which we can plant all we need.  That is substainability.   It is also much better for privacy and security of records than anything digital.  Society is just beginning to pull back a tiny bit on the going 100% paperless.  When all files were paper we never saw a company breach the trust and confidential information of 4,000,000 customers in one wrong step.   Identity theft was not a thing.   We need to put security and safety at the front.  Going green energywise is fine.   When a company tells you to let them grab your payment out of you bank account instead of sending you a bill, they are just using the "go green" thing to make you feel like it is your obligation and they are the one saving money and giving up nothing.  It is not.  The fewer companies that have your banking or credit card info, the better and the less chance of a problem for you.

I think I said "sounds good" and "advertising".

Even sending a check gives the company your banking information...it is printed on the check. So if they want it they have unless you are dealing with strictly cash or money order/cashiers check.
Online I never use my actual card/account number for a purchase..I use Paypal or similar.

Yes when a company goes paperless....they often advertise it as being/going green.

I have every type of paper clip and both a regular and a large stapler.  I am most fond of the vinyl-covered metal paper clips...colored.   I prefer staples for anything going into a file.  Papers get accidentally attached via paper clips, so I mostly use staples.

I have paper clips, large ones and small ones.  I have two staplers, one silver and one black.  I also have Scotch Tape, duct tape, painter's tape and electrical tape.  I have a tool box with hammers, nails, screws, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, a hand saw, a measuring tape, a level, and assorted other items.  If my papers don't stay together, I can always nail or screw them to the wall.
