Scientists are in trouble. They are being quietly kicked out because the extremely stable genius sb prez hates what they tell him. Good?

If he doesn't wanna hear it well  then it gets crushed and the person who dares to say it disappears. Every agency providing any information he doesn't like mysteriously is gonna be a goner. Either shut the f up 24/7 or tell him what he wants to hear. Otherwise get the he ** out of his face.

That's pretty easy to understand. He doesn't kill the messenger. He just rips out their tongues figuratively, forbids them from writing anything. He is an avenging angel when it comes to this. He will brook no backtalk. He will tolerate no light. He will destroy you if you even dare to get information out to the public. .The public is too stupid to be told the truth so he will protect them from it with his last breath.

Y'all are so dam* lucky ya got him on your side. You don't have to worry about a thing, He's got your back. Sleep well.

He only hires the best people.

I think he needs a Felix Sater to oversee the science we are now to learn from the stable guy.

You know Felix, the man is connected with the MAFIA.  The man TRUMP denied knowing after he was confronted that he DID know all about Felix?

    That guy.

He was and is a racketeer. Just like Donnie.  Fellow rackateers.  Perfect to head the science that Donald wants us to learn.

You know Sharon if this were a novel it would tank. It would not be on a best-seller list. The reviews would be scathingly dismissive and uniformly derogatory!. Too far-fetched. Too bizarre queer peculiar. That the United States of America would ever have "elected" such a monstrous creep or if they did that he would still be there so long. It is absurd preposterous and impossible. The author would be excoriated and never again ever write a thing. It is that ridikkalus!

But is it not fiction . It is the reality which proves "truth is stranger than fiction". I do not see it ending well. I do hope it ends. What will be foreverly lost to us I dare not and cannot imagine. Thank you for  your reply! :)

You must mean he only hires the best temps.  How many major administration positions are now held by "acting" directors?  Even his acting directors are leaving and new acting director are being appointed.  Is this Trump's way of getting around Congressional oversight?  Do you realize that we are on the brink of war with Iran and we don't have a confirmed Secretary of Defense?

In the USA, scientists may be in trouble if their research is funded by taxes.
But there are thousands of philanthropic bequests to universities, many at the Ivy League level, which fund independent environmental research, and Trump cannot sack or silence them.
Further, the USA is only one country in a huge world.

In Europe, the WHO, the UN, and the rest of the English speaking world, science continues to have both public and independent funding. The research will not stop.
China has begun to realise the depth of the crisis and is starting to join.
India will soon be coming on board.

Part of the problem though, is that research, while still essential, is no longer enough.
We know of at least 100 solutions which have already been through all levels of testing and are proven to work.
Taken together, if all were applied, we could begin to claw back emissions and eventually return to a carbon-cycle in balance with nature.
What we need is global cooperation to change the sources of our energy and how we use it - and also to change our agricultural processes.
Many countries have started to make unilateral changes.
Europe is ahead of the rest of the world by decades - for instance, they no longer have acid rain.

In democratic countries, people make independent changes in how they live,
and this is beginning to change the attitudes of capitalists and stock markets.

Here in America the extremely stable genius scumbag corrupt criminal prez is appointing former COAL INDUSTRY LOBBYISTS to such agencies as the Environmental Protection Agency. What does that tell you? He is still promising to BRING BACK coal jobs and people are still believing him. He has single-handedly decimated all environmental protection laws by appointing the "best" folks who HATE clean air clean water, clean earth. Upon attaining their office they immediately start rescinding eliminating destroying all the work that has been undertaken for generations and all the advances. The criminal corrupt extremely stable genius scumbag prez does tht PROUDLY and LOUDLY and OPENLY! His contempt for the earth and its people is endless bottomless. Everything he does destroys something. Thank you for your thoughtful reply bw. I know the whole world is ahead of us. The the US used to be  the country to which others looked for leadership. That ship sailed November 2016 and sunk January 2017.
