    Element easy answer, they are Americans and Brits playing at being Austrian. 

    Es ist einfach.  Ja mein Deutsch is schlecht, es sind beide Osterreich und Bayerish.  Kennnst du mich, ja oder nein?

    Do you know this is one of the few places I still write in English?  German is the 1st language in our house and with our kids.

     *   when I've watched this movie, I sort often think that that one girl is Angela Cartwright -- 'Penny Robinson' on the "Lost In Space" TV show
    :)

      *   And Angela is the sister (or is she cousin?) to another actress I really admire, Veronica Cartwright

    * and I really enjoy Bananarama and this is one of their songs I really like -- and the official music video is great to watch for me - - filmed in many of the same locations as "The Sound of Music" movie. And the video goes in sort of a chronological order of the movie.

    I must say -- you are present and saying things to me right now that are extremely helpful to my being.
