How can I learn proper ballroom dancing steps without attending a dancing class?

In my part of the world, we have lots of classes teaching Indian classical dancing, and a few which teach Western modern dancing. But none teaching Western ballroom dancing.

The Internet perhaps? Can you recommend some good sites?

Yes dear very few ballroom dancing places in the cities around here. May be internet could help you a bit or your dancing partner if he/she is good at ballroom..

I think you're correct in that the internet is the place to go, but I'm not familiar with any websites that offer lessons. A keyword search should do it.
