I never say it.  I just do it.  Ok. I say it once in awhile, but not like God Bless You when you sneeze type of use.  Once in a while so it actually means something.

My ex dragged me to an Amy Grant Christmas concert with some girl scouts. I wanted to puke.

I cannot even IMAGINE how much you must love a person to do that.  Greater love hath no man than to lay down his sanity and attend an Any Grant concert for a woman.

  • Amy is my all time favorite artist.  But then I bet that would not surprise anyone'
I've always been guilty of being excessively twee.

  • Not sure if you are familiar with the comedian Lewis Black.  He's great.
He does a bit about Amy Grant and her husband Vince Gill that is hysterical.

    I like trump-Master of Nothing's -- "I just do it."

I do say it but probably not to any one person every day. But I find love in others around me. Saying it could be good.

And since, so far, we're posting songs - -- I love Howard Jones - - and one of his is- - "What Is Love?"

(and I'll post another with just the lyrics because I find them really profound)

  • Ahh.  Howard Jones' "What is Love"  A great one.

    I know the answer...

Love is the loudest voice we should be hearing.

I know you are getting video-bombed right about now, but this one is the most spiritual of all.  And it never mentions God or religion.  To me spirituality never has not announce itself.  You just feel the affects.  And this song does it for me.  It was the message of the 60's and 70's.  If you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with.

Now because Hippies believed in a lot of free love and Crosby, Stills and Nash were hippies, people got the message that it meant sleep around and don't worry any warm body in a storm.

    NO.

It means that you may be longing for a certain person, but if there is another person in front of you, give to that person. Be love and be loving to those around you and don't think about your selfish wants. That is the best medicine for wanting to put some one person up on some pedestal and not appreciate all the other humans on the planet and what they may be here to offer me at this moment.

That is the better idea.  LOVE EVERYONE and give what you can to everyone.  Of course, now it won't post.  I'll try again....

Welby, my song is what I thought your Howard was gonna sing.  The Saturday Night Live version made it famous again (my song)

I've heard that song that you posted. Was that animated clip video to your song shown on SNL? I don't know who sings that song. I've always enjoyed it.
    :)

Ug -- I now go outside and do some work outside. It's awfully hot for my taste.
