Is it true there are some cars you are not allowed to own in America? I know there are some drugs available elsewhere that are illegal in the US. Are we being protected or stonewalled/forbidden?WHY?

Yes it is true ... Some exotic hi- performance cars cannot be imported / registered in the USA . This is usually due to failure to meet Federal Highway Safety crash test standards or fail to meet emission standards ..There are also a number of cheap imports that cannot be sold in the USA for the same reason.
