Work conference next week, but it's in the same state where I live, so nothing too exciting. If it's not 1000 degrees, I do plan to check out some nature in the area while I'm there.
I rented a cabin in Northern Arizona this week. My children and I were grateful for the experience and learned that we're not outdoor people. When we got home, my car broke down on the first errand we ran. I couldn't help but think how badly that would have sucked if had broken down while we were out in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception. It would have been like the setting for virtually every horror flick ever. So, no. I'm not going anywhere for a while. I'm going to stay close to home and be grateful for city life.
Do you have plans? Coming to the US anytime soon? ;)
In the middle of October I'm going to a wedding in Colorado. My cousin (mom's brother's daughter) is getting married. I'm going back to Colorado for Christmas and New Year's because we go to Colorado every year at that time.
My mother-in-law and my stepfather-in-law used to take a trip on the Durango-Silverton Railroad (which is by Million Dollar Hwy.) every year but they stopped going after their last trip because on their last trip the woman who was sitting in the seat across from them died in the middle of the trip so my in-laws kind of lost interest in the scenic train ride after that.
