Congress is back from a SEVEN WEEK SUMMER BREAK! How many of you get 7 weeks paid vacation a year?

It is not a vacation. It is them coming back home to work directly with local constitutes and other organizations.
They have meetings and fundraising, etc.

A break from what? they don't do anything.

You elected them. What's your problem?

I know Rosie...44 years for me. Twenty one in the Navy and 23 teaching. I too earned it. Teachers...10 weeks Summer...two weeks winter and spring. I guess that is 14. I forgot two years teaching community college and six at a golf course and 12 at the fitness club I clean.

It's probably a good thing they don't do much.

They get paid to do the work of the people, not to fundraise for their re-election or the election of other parasites.

Which is precisely why they don't have time to do anything for we the people. They are much too busy doing things on behalf of themselves and their "johns". Sadly.  Thank you for your reply Spunky an d Happy Wednesday m'dear!  :)

Sorry but the way our system is set up fundraising is actually part of the job. It is not a vacation it is when they are working locally with their constituents.

Wow. Thanks for working so hard. Now the next generations get to work until we die in our cubes.

I seriously doubt that the Founding Fathers intended for our elected officials to spend so much time campaigning and fundraising.

I used to get 16...now I get 52 like you.

A better question might be how many of us get paid that much to do so little?

I worked my a** off for 45  years kiddo! I EARNED having 52 weeks off for the rest of my life. So did Jim. Neither of us have a proper a**! We are both flat as pancakes. We are very flat back there which proves my point. We worked our a**es off for 45 years. Can you say the same for all the pols whose salaries we pay day after day after day after day?  So you got 16 weeks vacation a year? How in the he** did you manage that? Thank you for your reply! :)
