  • He'll be able to afford it, and his fan base will label all these women libs and be more voracious than ever.

  • A cool $20 mill? Wow!  As much as I despise FOX, isn't that a bit steep?

Roger Ailes can sexually harass me if he wants

  • It is steep.  An example is being made. Be it a good one  that it's becoming less and less tolerated.

Plus, with his kind of wealth the penalty needs to be high enough for him to feel so.e kind of pain to take better measures to stop it.

  • That I understand and I agree with you 100%, but...

(There is always a but, isn't there? lol)

We've become very litigous as a society.  If he had physically harmed or caused death, I can understand it.  Maybe $10miil or even 5...

Recently, I saw one of an commercial for one of those Ambulance chasers regarding a chemo treatment foiw women who have had or have breast cancer.  If 'suffered' permanent hair-loss as a result of chemo, then they are eligable to sue. What is your thought on that? Mine is that if the chemo saved someones life, why would they complain about hair loss?

Roger Ailes is a disgusting pig.  He should be held libel to pick up the cost personally as well. That would be a more appropriate compensatory damages agreement.

  • I can't argue with you on us being an overly litigious society.  We could use a little backbone.

My disdain for the defendant may be influencing my judgement or just playing devil's advocate again.

    Hello goat:

There WAS a time when lawyers, distillers, and drug manufactures weren't allowed to advertise on TV..  I liked it better then..

  • So do I. I recall when they first came onto the screen.  they were sleazy, grainy ads that reminded me of Crazy Eddy.

Now they are slick, glossy, and professional looking

(sorry for the typos in my original comment)

  • No...not really. You make a really good point and I do agree.  Maybe I'm playing devils advocate :)

The judgement should have been against FOX & Ailes and they should also have a 50/50 responsibility for the cost at the last.

I'd like to see FOX go off air personally, but I'd be a hypocrate if felt the judgement was fair only becasue it was them.
