Lol--now, now, the fuse is potentially a very long one, wait for the fallout to evaluate the results.

Well the afternoon session was very good. The morning session where Mueller testified before the Judicial committee (I think) fell flat. But the afternoon session held by the INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE was juicy. An understatement. I don't know if Mueller's testifying will change a dam* thing though. The prodons still live in their world of alternate reality and the antidons don't need any more ammunition to know how corrupt and what a criminal the trump is. It's hard not to react on the spot to what's what at that moment tom. But you are absolutely right. Gotta wait till all the cards have been played before you know who won the game! Thank you for your reply. Another question inspired by your reply is at bat. Thanks!  :)

Really hard to explain the concept of a sphere to the "flatlanders."

Have you read FLATLAND tom? I read it years ago. Checked it out of a library I think and it is long-since out of print. Two-dimensional creatures living in a 3-dimensional world have a very different view of it. They can only access 2/3 of it so what they think is there isn't all there is. I've mentioned it on Answerbag and Answermug but no one has ever indicated any familiarity with it. There is a first time for everything! I thought the illustrations were very mind-stretching. I loved that book. Thank you for your reply! :) You didn't by any chance ever see the movie BUCKAROO BONZAI didja?

I never saw that movie.  I just googled it to see what it was about, and that type of movie would not have interested me.  (Some people are shocked that I don't enjoy chess either.)

No, I didn't read FLATLAND.  Whenever I first came across the concept of higher dimension trying to communicate with a lower dimension, it just immediately resonated with me.

You and I and a number of others on Q & A sites live in the real world, while a majority of people seem to live in in the limited dimension of the "flatland"---as you can tell by the types of answers and the reasoning behind them that they publish on Q & A sites.

If a sphere were to be passed through a plane, it would appear on the plane first as a "point," appear then to be a series of concentric circles first waxing, maximizing, and then waning and then "poof" disappearing.

In other words, there is a total disconnect between a flatlander and the concept of the actual existing reality of a sphere.

Thus Trump was elected (by the minority) and they still chant "Viva el circulo."

Viva el circulo! Sheesh that's incredibly funnee hunnee. I may co-opt it futurely but as usual I shall give you blind attribution. Of course in that case THEY CANNOT HELP IT! They are limited in what they think. Should we blame them for that? I gotta ask. Thank you for your reply tom . As for the movie I thought it was HILARIOUS! This surgeon astronaut physicist linguist brilliant-in-everything man was way too prescient. I relate that to what the trump believes he is today. Better than anyone at anything and brilliant at all things. Except that Buckaroo  Banzai actually was all those things. Ever see the TV show 3rd Rock from the Sun? John Lithgow starred in it. Well he was in Buckaroo Banzai too. It's funny odd peculiar weird the only other person I know who ever saw that movie was my son's best friend..my "second son"...OLD SCHOOL.  Don't know if you ever ran into him. He was on Answermug and Answerbag before that. He thought it was hilarious too. Just FYI! This post was edited by RosieG at July 28, 2019 4:19 AM MDT
