    Hmm... it's not even 5 here yet. I'm presently leaning toward finishing my homework followed by a trip to Home Depot and then some rum and coke with chips and dip while I attempt a home repair project I'm not qualified to do to begin with.   • This sounds like a perfect Sunday night to me. What kind a chips and dip? Ruffles and onion dip? Tortillas and guacamole? Pumpernickel bread and spinach dip???? I starving... let me live vicariously through you, lol.

    Wholemeal Bread
    using dried yeast

     

    Makes 2 small loaves

     

    •1 tablespoon active dry yeast

    •1 tablespoon honey

    •1 teaspoon salt

    •1 cup boiling & 1 cup cold water combined (i.e.2  cups warm water)

    •5 cups wholemeal organic wheat flour

    •1 cups wholemeal organic  rye flour

    •cornmeal or flour for dusting

     

     

    Method

     

    1.In a large bowl mix together the yeast, sugar, salt and water. Let this stand until the yeast is dissolved. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time to the liquid and mix thoroughly until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface to knead. (This may be a little messy, but don't give up!)

    2.Knead It: Fold the far edge of the dough back over on itself towards you. Press into the dough with the heels of your hands and push away. After each push, rotate the dough 90°. Repeat this process in a rhythmic, rocking motion for 5 minutes, sprinkling only enough flour on your kneading surface to prevent sticking. Let the dough rest while you scrape out and grease the mixing bowl. Knead the dough again for 2 to 3 minutes.

    3.Let It Rise: Return the dough to the bowl and turn it over once to grease the top. Cover with a damp towel and keep warm until the dough doubles in bulk, about 1 to 2 hours.

    4.Shape it: Punch down the dough with your fist and briefly knead out any air bubbles. Cut the dough in half and shape into two Italian- or French-style loaves. Place the loaves on a cookie sheet generously sprinkled with cornmeal. Let the loaves rest for 5 minutes.

    Bake it:

    1. Lightly slash the tops of the loaves 3 or more times diagonally and brush them with cold water.

    2. Place a roasting pan on the bottom of the oven. 

             Fill 1" deep with boiling water. 

             Preheat oven to 205ºC (400°F) 

             Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, 

             or until the loaves are golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

    Soft shell with doritos but no shrimp---only beef.

    Shrimp is good batter and deep fried. Coconut is best.

    Vacation not really, whirlwind Business trip as usual.  The powers that be are trying to prove a human can be in two places at once.  The last ten (10) days I have been Paris, York, London and now Munich.  Tomorrow heading home to Vienna for 8 days then a massive fast trip to Asia starting with a long flight to Korea then onwards

    Ya tonight my dinner plans are not choking. Were having a fish that usally has lots of bones- I love fish but its dangerous for me to eat because I have a bad habit of shovelling food in my mouth and then swallowing it real quick so I can shovel more in. What makes it even more dangers is because of all the years of eating that way I no longer have a gag reflex so if I swallow a bone I can't count on gaging it up. Cheers!
