I have watched too many Betas die because of me.  I cannot stand the idea any more.  The females are duller-looking too.

I kill those guys.  No matter how much I try to keep them alive, and they all die horrid deaths.  My daughter and I had a female that died from being egg bound and there was no male in sight.

    Female betas

what kind of tank do you keep them in? a lot of people think they can live in a vase but they will die if kept in there. they need a heater and a filter and other fish.

Ya I used to be one of those people until I heard  that - they can't live in a vase plus they die a slow painful death so I  felt bad thinking about all the fish I murdered and tortured. Cheers and happy weekend!

We cracked my fish tank very upsetting. It was a 125 gal tank we had it for 18 yrs.

I do still have a betta.

No it wasnt full. My husband was trying to make a self cleaning filter and he drilled a hole in the glass for it. The hole was fine...the second cracked the it.  I was so mad. But it is still usable just not for water. So will likely get a lizard of some kind eventually.

Friendly is good. My daughter had an iguana and it was mean. He was always slapping people with his tail. It hurt bad.
