    Why is the appropriate category making them disappear????? 

    Leave them ALONE.   Just because something is in the wrong CATEGORY?  Come ON.

    Move them later after they have left the queue.  Put them where they belong LATER.

    I move them when I see them. It does not make them disappear. If you are using the home page ot changes nothing for you.

    Because some users use the catergories to find questions to answer. So they should be in an appropriate catergory. 
    Many users put all their questions in the same category regardless of the topic.

    Why not concentrate less on moving around people's posts and more on fixing the "Search" feature* so that by simple keywords, topics can be located?

    *From the infancy of this website, search has NEVER worked.

      I concur. I believe the categories are largely useless to everyone. Once a post has been submitted, it hardly matters one iota which category its author selected.
