I once jokingly asked a girl what her sign was, and she said it was

    LOL.

No - I don't believe that astrology has any influence on my life.

What is your sign?  What time were you born?  What date? What year?

I bet you are clean, organized and do not like to be criticized.

I could care less about messy, and you can say anything to me and I'll dare you to say it. Because I am an in your face, passionate Scorpio.

I mean I'm not saying that the stars are the answer, but there is something to say for archetypes.

I am neat, organized, loyal, don't like to be criticized although I will do a fair share of criticizing others. :)  I also have some Libra traits as I'm very close to that sign.

I think mostly the purpose of astrology is to identify a person's personality characteristics,  not so much about predicting the future kind of stuff. My sign is Scorpio and my astrology reading seems to identify me fairly well.

Some farmers use astrology as a guide for growing their crops and astrology has been applied to the practice of animal husbandry.

If you "lay it to rest" ... does that mean it's in a "bunk bed"?

I think there maybe some to it. But not predictions etc.
I know I fit my sign (Libra) and my husband fits his (Aries). The signs are opposites but it says if the couple can overcome it, they can compliment very well.

    a) Leo - though I am more fire-side pussy-cat than Serengeti-prowling lion!

    b) Astrology is the overall name for many different, ancient beliefs that a few astronomical objects specific to the particular belief, and their apparent alignments seen from Earth, can affect human life in various ways.

The real frightener was the comet, because very few people see more than one or two comets in their lives, and baffled by their behaviour (creeping into brightness then fading away to "nothing"), lumbered them with all manner of invented abilities. One (Halleys'?) appeared in 1066, so naturally was taken as a portent for good or bad, for the forthcoming invasion and Battle of Hastings. This is illustrated on the Bayeux Tapestry, with a group of people staring up at it. We of course now think ourselves fortunate to have seen a comet, especially if it is visible to the naked eye!

    c) No

    d) No

    e) Yes - but provided you don't tie yourself in knots by taking it seriously, it is amusing bunk!
