Discussion»Questions»Life and Society» Do you think if monkeys developed language and could talk to each other that they would invent gods to explain natural phenomena?
In anthropological terms, that is what happened. But I digress.
I ask, how would monkeys view us humans? How could they explain our mastery of technology, the dominance of our species, and the scope of our civilization? Would WE not seem supernatural to THEM, without having to be invented?
I think you need to expand your view. Spare us the sermon. There have been about a thousand different gods men have worshipped other than the Abrahamic God. Weren’t they invented? Wonder why?
God came into the picture about 6000 years ago when Abraham decided that the concept of one almighty creator God would be better than believing in multiple gods.
