In your entire working career, how many times have you been late?

Three for me. Once in the Navy...my fault. Once when my car died on the freeway. It didn't matter as everyone else was late during a massive t-storm. Another time I got stuck by two trains at one crossing. No big deal.

Just once (teh drunk driving thing I've discussed here before).  I always arrived to work 5 minutes early (that's all they allowed) and was known for always clocking in on time - to the exact second.

Hard to tell because I've had a working career spanning 55 years, but a general rule, I'm rarely late.

I might have to admit to never being anywhere on time....there are so many interesting people to chat to when I travel....
Its all down to my parents why I'm always late.....The alway said to me as a child ,that all Nice things are worth waiting for....Trouble always arises when I  have two tell people to keep their hands off my Nice Things....:(

I think it would be better for me to answer how many times I have been to work On Time. ;)

No really, when it involves someone else and their work schedule will get messed up if I am not on time, I do make there early.  If I schedule someone to be at work at a certain time, I make sure I am there before them.
But, if it is just me and I do set my own schedule, I try to commit to a time. It rarely seems to turn out that way. I have other preferences and things I like to do... like spend time here!
I make up for the time I don't get there in the day, at night.  I still work my usual 10 to 11 hours, just not always at the time I had originally set to do it. This post was edited by Merlin at August 23, 2019 11:03 AM MDT

Not too many but I stopped worrying about it after just a few years.  A few minutes in the morning was easily made up by the time I left.

My workplace was so flexible it didn't really matter if what your hours were as long as you got your work done. However, it I had a meeting or other commitment at a certain time, I don't ever recall being late for it. I am compulsively early as a rule; I'm more likely to sneak out early.
