I can only wish my BFF would use me for something, anything besides celery, onions, beans and mellons out of my garden

Dang...even this old guy could think of something better. Foot rubs?

I had a "friend" trying to get a handyman business going.  He'd invite himself over and talk for hours, then tell me what a great conversation we'd had.  I may have been able to say two or three things the whole time.  He thought he was charming me.   I did feel sorry for him so I kept trying to find thing for him to do.  I let him cut our grass for a high price while we were gone and he asked for an extra $200 in case the lawnmower or something else broke.  Okay, but Instead of giving me back the $200, he said he'd work more hours when we got back.  The next time he didn't pay me back I ask for it and he got extremely angry.  He was just using me so I fired him and broke off the friendship.

Uh...you forgot the instead of being loved. My wife faked the love part for my health insurance, large bank account and steady job.

I understand but this was the closest relationship to yours that I could think of.

  • When he hands me his heart, I am being loved.

When he hands me cash, I have been used.

If I knew that, I'm pretty sure my life would have turned out differently.
