The word "unique" cannot be qualified; it means "only" or "the only one", yet people mistakenly use it with qualifiers.

A thing is either unique or it is not unique, it cannot be very, somewhat, kind of, too, more, less, little, etc. 

What are some other English words that cannot be qualified?

    Is this a question or a lecture on one of your pet peeves? I did my very best to come up with an answer but I think that it's somewhat impossible because that word is almost unique. Language changes all the time, get over it. I dislike it when people use 'alright' when it should be 'all right', but I have never corrected you.
