I believe it exists, but not that it is anything but sideshow hokum. Pseudoscience, too long extolled as worthwhile knowledge.
IMO, it is a stretch to even match the constellations to the figures they are identified with. A crab, a bear, a water bearer, ....what? The ancients had too much time on their hands and too little information in their brains.
