Sometime we get so intent on focusing on JUST ONE THING we don't see other things surrounding it that could be dangerous/fatal. Ya know?

Ever been so intent involved focused on one thing you completely missed a much bigger thing and when you realized it..well it was too late? Happen often?

Not often, but often enough to get annoyed with myself.

I experienced it bigly once upon a time. Only I didn't have a clue. I worked for an architect once upon a time who had two companies...Flewelling&Moody, and Flewelling,Moody & Wheeler. I met Mr. Wheeler but never had a chance to get to know him. He was there rarely. I didn't know he had a full-time job elsewhere. As what? An ACADEMY-AWARD WINNING ART DIRECTOR in Hollywod! A few years ago I noticed it and got very excited. We watch TCM (Turner Classic Movies) all the time so we see fine movies made decades before. Many of them in the FILM NOIRE genre. As I was scanning the credits after a film ended I saw LYLE WHEELER listed as the Art Director. I got so excited. But that was just the tiny baby tip of that iceberg. He was the ART DIRECTOR on a bazillion great films. It takes my breath away that there are so many of them and I always scream out loud and point to the screen LYLE WHEELER! Jim is pretty sick of it and I'm sick at heart for not knowing who Mr. Wheeler really was outside of the architect's firm. A GREAT art director. So ignorance caused me to never acknowledge it but somewhere up there wherever he is I HOPE he hears me shout his name with every film I see that carries it. All of them are GREAT. I think he must have been the A LIST Art Director of the time. I guess I'm being kinda silly but it makes me wonder how many people do we encounter in our lives who are so much more than we realize? Everyone? Thank you for your reply R! :)
