if it's said to help the other person then its not disrespectful ... even though it might not be well received by the other person. if it's said maliciously, then it is disrespectful.

Earlier today when you told me that I was in over my head, I didn't view it as being disrespectful in the least nor did I view it as an attack. To be frank, I viewed what you said at that particular time as being irrelevant. Not that you as a person are irrelevant but what you said was because you have no idea what I know and don't know. So don't worry about it. Simply put, I don't sweat the small stuff so all is good. :)

Just a thought. How would you like it if I said that to you? So, you know. That is not the diplomatic way.
I need to practice diplomacy. So, what I would do to the one who is batting, is soothe them, some way. Because? You will be met with NEGATIVE response if you say to someone what I just said to you as an example. I DO NOT THINK THAT ABOUT YOU. OKAY?
If one thinks ahead a few steps, one can see the outcome of this. If you make a person angry or ashamed because you are attacking with this manner of communication, you will fail if you hope to have some positive outcome.
So, I tell you, you are out of your league, back down. You say? GO TO HELLLLLL IN A HANDBASKET LADY.
Or I say, Hey, my friend, do you know I am here for you? Do you know I want you to have a great night's sleep and I cannot sleep myself if I am worried about you. So, please let me help. Let me ease your burden.
Now, if you do this with TRUMP? He will sell you down the river in a heart beat like he is doing to Barr and Guiliani.
So, you cannot win with TRUMP, so you may as well have the satisfaction of calling him out as a moron. You are right as rain. I have seen the light. You are right. He is a moron. He will never listen and he is out of his league.
