Is skin tone one of the first things you notice about a person?

It depends on which way she's walking.

I notice someone's skin color the same as I would any other physical attribute, whether it be the color of their eyes or hair, if they're tall or if they're old or young. I'm not sure how someone can say they don't see these things unless, of course, they're blind.
