How can a woman justify marrying a man she caught raping a passed-out bridesmaid prior to the wedding?

No joke- this just happened in PA. The entire wedding party got drunk a couple days before the wedding. The bride asked the groom to escort her friend back to her room because she couldn't function anymore. The groom sexually assaulted the bridesmaid, who was blackout drunk at the time, and was caught in the act by the bride. The bride and the groom literally had a physical altercation after this, and yet they still got married.

How exactly does that work? What could this bride possibly have been thinking that would make her decide to still marry that guy?

    Is he rich?
Is she pregnant and does not want to fight about paternity?

Physical altercation....she has been abused to the point...she believes the POS is the only man that will have her.

    Sad.

I saw that article but didn't read the whole thing.  Maybe the bridesmaid was conscious when the sex started.  It's horrible even to type.  There would have been no wedding for me if I was in the bride's shoes.  For the bride this may have been simply a matter of forgiveness.  But that's a shaky start for a marriage if I've ever heard one!!

A guy once told me he had done something similar to this back in his youth.  That I will never forget.

These people have no inner core.  That's why.  She can't find a better man because she is no better than he is.

Saw this tale, I was not amused.  I am bewildered as to why she went through with the wedding.  The police are investigating.  This is a story one would think was fiction or a setup for reality TV.

The most amazing thing is the Groom texting the victim suggesting she should be using a Morning After Pill

That reminds me of this bizzare friend I had. He was married multiple times. He said that on one of his wedding nights, while his new wife was at work, he was in bed with another woman.  I have had some bizarre friends.

I can only guess at the answer to that, of course.  Women have somehow excused  many things a man they're in lust and supposedly  "love" with has done or said, no doubt.  I even have, on occasion.  Something  anything like THAT though,  it just would not be  possible.

What a sick and sordid story. *Sigh.....

He could have waited one more day and made the wedding night memorable.  But no! He went for the maid.  Not a good foundation for a marriage.
