Americans, are you jealous that we have Thanksgiving this weekend, or do you like having Thanksgiving all smooshed up next to Christmas?

      Yes, that’s right: we’re jealous of everything about Canada. We want to be Canadians, eh!

      Wait, I never said any of us would go through with it. Canada can just continue to be America‘s hat. You can visit me every now and then, but when the accent starts driving me crazy, you have to leave.

    Not really, over here there really isn't a Thanksgiving.  There are a couple of great Saints Holidays however.  For Thanksgiving a bunch of the Expats get together, pool resources and have a Feast.  This is usually the Sunday before the US Thanksgiving.

    Now I will mention this to the Resident Labradors since they are Canadian. I will also give them an extra Turkey treat.  Jamie you guilted me into this act of kindness

     I don't do Thanksgiving so I don't give two turkeys what day it is.

    I give thanks every day of my life and I cannot stand one living relative and I don't kill birds to celebrate life.  I used to feed the homeless long ago, but I have to work and can't do both and stay awake.

    Don't understand why you think they are "smooshed up" against each other, when there is almost a month between them.

    You may as well say Canada's Thanksgiving and Remembrance Day are "smooshed together".

    LOL

  • Isn’t your thanksgiving at the end of November? That’s smooshed. Also, there’s no turkey on Remembrance Day, so that doesn’t even make any sense.

    There is not necessarily turkey on Christmas day either.

    Thanksgiving 2019 = on the 28th.
    Christmas = on the 25th.
    Almost an entire month between them.  Not smooshed.

    Hanukkah & Christmas & Kwanzaa & New Year's Eve ... now THOSE are smooshed

  • That’s not even a full month! Super smooshed. Those other holidays aren’t even turkey related,  so your argument is invalid.
