It's exactly what his base wants to hear.

No I want the lying bribe-taker who conspired against her own party and doesn't know what classified information is and collapses in public?

Trump will say lots of stupid things but it does not matter as long as the dems are still running the worst candidate they could ever find.

    Spot on!

Dems HAD the ONE candidate who COULD have easily beaten Trump--much as I might have disagreed with his politics--but they chose to rig the primary process in favor of a political/intellectual gimp who puts people in baskets.

Look, I've said it at least a thousand times. I don't have a dog in this fight, but that won't keep me from laughing my ass off should Trump win in a landslide!

His base--i.e., the vast marginalized, derided and dehumanized masses--wants only on thing: they want Hillary to lose. Religion matters not. Policy matters not. Intelligence matters not. Popularity or PC savvy matter not.

The only thing that matters is that Hillary and the statist quo MUST lose!!

Oh, and after her latest descriptor of fifty percent of Americans as 'Deplorable,' I proudly count myself among them!  Phuck her simpering, sanctimonious, supercilious snobbishness, all of her sycophants and the horse they rode in on!

Trump won't offer any real alternative. He represents the worst kind of totalitarian, authoritarian mindset that the Republican party has to offer. If you think the fall of the American Republic is a great thing for the world, wait till you see a world run by China and Russia.

Trump offers a real alternative just by nature of the fact that he's not a part of the political elite.  That alone makes him viable and, in the still unlikely event that he wins, that will be the central reason why.

And it's kind of hard to be a totalitarian while defending the citizen's right to keep and bear--markedly unlike Hillary who would, if allowed to do so, completely disarm every American one draconian 'common sense' gun law at a time.

The fall of the American Republic is a dead-bang certainty either way.  Republics of the kind ours used to be require an educated, moral and involved citizenry.

What has he ever said that has convinced you he is NOT just another worthless politician? Forget taking anything he says at face value, and look at what he DOES. He changes his position on issues more often than I change my socks. He only defends the 2nd Amendment because it's politically expedient, and now the NRA has him in their pocket. That's not the kind of difference anyone needs. When he's not busy blustering, he's going to be the pawn of anybody with half a brain.

If you want educated, moral, involved citizenry, why on Earth would you want to see Trump as a leader? He doesn't have any of those qualities.

Other than the fact that this is only his first or second serious foray into politics, nothing, but as I indicated on several occasions this isn't so much about being 'for' Trump as being 'against' Hillary and all she represents.  That does appear to be the only real, defining characteristic of or between the two contenders. I like neither of them, and neither of them even BEGINS to represent me or my beliefs. Trump is an unmitigated buffoon whereas Hillary is a borderline criminal/psychopath with just enough knowledge to destroy what remains of the last redoubt of freedom left on earth.  Given that choice I will take the buffoon every time!

The decision to be moral or erudite is one which the citizens must make REGARDLESS of whom they choose to lead them.  A president is only a reflection OF that choice.

I didn't entirely agree with Bernie myself but he was the only one left against hillary so I supported him.

It is ridiculous that the party cheated him out of the nomination and all this got revealed and yet hillary is still running.  I lost all respect for the party.  It's the clinton party now.
