A person who is truly fearless cannot be truly brave. He is also a fool. Courage is doing the right thing despite shaking like a leaf and your sphincters refusing to behave.
I think you know Jim had a stroke April 27 (but who remembers?). He came out of it remarkably undamaged for a man his age. Except that his balance isn't quite the same and his hearing was definitely impaired. He is shopping for hearing aids. So now every time he leaves the house without me I worry if he will come back to me undamaged. I can't go everywhere with him because I never did before and if I start now then he is gonna worry about me worrying about him so things go on now as they did before the stroke except I've changed. Will he have another stroke away from me and have to find his way back home on his own as he did the first time? Irrational or rational? I dunno. It doesn't matter because I am not in control of it. I have been alone for decades at a time in my life and I never felt lonely so I don't fear that. I fear being Jimless. What can I tell ya? Thank you for your reply R and Happy Friday to you! :)
