I HAVE GOD INSIDE ME.  AROUND ME.  ABOVE ME.  BELOW ME.  GOD IS ALL I SEE AND YOUR PALTRY IDEAS OF WHAT GOD EVEN IS, IS SO NOT SCARY, HONEY.

WAKE UP.  GOD IS LOVE.  GOD IS LIGHT AND GOD IS NOT FEAR AND TRUMP.   Fear is demon food.  Stop feeding them.

  • You nailed it, Shar.
Nothing says it more accurately or simply than those three words..."God Is Love."

HOW DARE YOU, GAY PERSON WITH A DEMON AVATAR.  GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES EVER.  BUT GOD TOLD THE EVANGELICALS THAT GAY PEOPLE ARE WRONG AND GOING TO HELL.  WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD FOLLOW A GOD LIKE THAT?  oH YEAH.  trump AND pence.

WHAT IS WRONG HERE?  YOU ARE A LOVER OF JESUS' ACTUAL WORDS.  YOU LOVE JESUS AND WANT TO SHOW YOUR LOVE BY LOVING THESE PEOPLE AND TRYING TO GET THEM TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEIR LIES.  YET, THEY DON'T AGREE WITH YOU AND WANT YOU TO CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE BEING TO SUIT THEIR GOD.

NOW, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEIR VIEW OF GOD?

"I did not make being Gay a Sin. God did. He is the Creator of EVERYTHING."

If God is the creator of everything, and he created people like Halloweenie and me gay, then... God is a sinner?

Yes... You do not make the rules, God does.
    Do I have that right?

Actually God is Spirit. More accurately, God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • You are in careless error to correct me by insinuating that I am mis-characterizing God.
I will dispute your take on this using only Holy Scripture...

    1 John 4:8

"He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.

"God is father, son, and holy spirit." Perhaps that's what God is to Christians, but your statement implies that God is that for everybody. Please don't generalize for those who don't share your beliefs. It's disrespectful of other faiths and denominations.

  • I appreciate the effort you are making and I will certainly peruse your link, but I assure you I am very well versed in The Bible's stance on Homosexuality.  I wasn't aware that Homosexuality was even the topic of this thread.  You asked a very different question in your original post and I answered it kindly and sincerely.  I think the people you may wish to share this with are those who actually raised the topic of Gays and God's word regarding them elsewhere under your post.  Addressing it to me is a bit misplaced.  As for me though, I am no different than any other child of God.  I have many sins in my life that I wrestle with while in this world but I know that I am redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ whom I love with all my heart and because of him I am made pure and whole in the eyes of the Lord.  My soul was bought back from darkness by his son and because of this he sees my heart and not my sin.  Without this mercy, and this grace, we would all be surely lost. Given that the Bible is not internally consistent, a literalist view of it is nonsense. Particularly a KJV view, given that the King James scholars brought their 17th century prejudices to the task of translation and didn't have access to the best texts - those were in the hands of the Saracens who weren't feeling terribly generous towards infidels at the time, having repulsed several Crusades.

The word arsenokoites in 1st Corinthians, translated as "sodomite" in the KJV, is better translated "pederast" and here's where historical and cultural exegesis is important. It was common practice in the 1st century Graeco-Roman world for rich men to keep young boys as sexual playthings. Tiberius was known to have several, which was one reason that he delegated so much to Caligula - to give him more time with his catamites. It is this practice that Paul was condemning, rather that consensual acts between adults. He was also upbraiding parents who were selling their children into that kind of servitude.

It is the only book known to man to be literally inspired through men by our God and Creator. What can be more literal than that?

That's a believer's interpretation of questionable veracity. It's more like a self-fulfilling prophecy - it's true for someone like you who believes it is, and it's not true for those who don't believe. There is no objective, provable reality. In fact, it is quite plausible that people created God and related narrative and not vice versa. As civilizations developed, religious groups sprang up and invented gods and deities to explain life, death, and the existence of the world. How possible is it really that a few thousand years ago, some guy sitting in the sky somehow brought the universe about in a week? Think about that.

On the other hand, if "the" God exists, since He apparently must possess a great sense of humor, He would probably be amused by our discussions about the possibility of His existence.

Assuming, of course, that this deity is of human form and of the male gender. I have no idea why anyone refers to God as he, father, or any noun or pronoun other than the species- and gender-neutral "God."
