Not being a football team, it doesn't matter to me.

    Durable.

Because the best ability is availability.

If those are the only two factors from which I'd choose, speed wins.

Depends on the type of RB. Fullbacks...220 lbs of rock hard muscle getting those two yard for first down or TD. Halfbacks...speed to get around the corners. Generalizations.

I'm with Stu.  I'm not a big football fan but Do know a little bit about it.

As the ball floated high into the blue sky, I would be yelling,
    "RUN! RUN! RUN RICE!  RUN!!!!"

Playing the position as a running back it would seem to me speed and agility would be your best asset.

The other promotes the idea you are already going to get socked and aren't going to make the pass complete. This post was edited by Merlin at October 27, 2019 10:51 PM MDT

NFL's Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram, T. J. Yeldon, Peyton Barber, Kerryon Johnson are the NFL running backs that I also watched pretty much every college game they played.  They are all great with speed and enough power to pull a few opposition players along with them.  But when they do break free, they have to be able to not only fly, but to pick up that speed quickly and maintain it.  One of my favorite running backs was Cadillac Williams.  Man, he was something else in college.  He left the NFL and is now coaching at his alma mater, Auburn.  (War Eagle!)    Also Ronnie Brown was a great running back at Auburn, but is now playing wide receiver in the NFL.
