It turns out the girls had never punched anyone in the face and they got it into their heads that they would look cool with black eyes. They both punched each other twice. There's a whole lot of cursing in the video... I'm pretty sure they're drunk or stoned, so I can't post it, but it's probably not going to stand up in court as assault.
I'm still dumbfounded, even though I found the answers.
