    A lady one time ingested a small bit of the raw dough and the kind of bacteria in it almost killed her. I dunno what brand it was.

    You can bake bacon.  Just put the whole package laid out on a cookie sheet with a rack (to lift the bacon out of the grease) and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.  No curling, perfect.

    Not really perfect as you will have grease splattered on your oven, and you've used a lot of electricity.  I put paper towels on a plate, place the uncooked bacon on the paper towels, cover with another doubled paper towel and microwave.  No mess.  Plate goes into the dishwasher.  The towels and grease go into the garbage.  The bacon is flat and perfect.  This is the only thing I "cook" in the microwave.  And I only buy bacon about once a year.  The microwave, for me, is about heating vegetables and melting butter for popcorn.
