Because everyone knows that being seated near the kitchen at a restaurant means you either didn't have a reservation and that's the only table left or that you're being disrespected. In Trump's case - it's the latter. He doesn't deserve respect.
Whatever you think about him as an individual, he is POTUS and there is protocol that goes with the job. He receives and is deserving of that until he is no longer in office, and that's how he is treated at state occasions. How does that affect or damage you and why let it bother you?
I fully understand protocol will prevent him from being seated near the kitchen. Where he sits, doesn't really bother me. I'm sure he will make a fool of himself no matter where he's seated.
