Are you a Noticer or Oblivious? Some folks notice things and talk about them. Others are oblivious. What causes someone to be a Noticer and someone to not be?

What do you notice most and what do you rarely notice at all? Why?

  • I know I may not seem it with my online commentary, but I'm really good at reading body language and vocal intonations & inflections. I also have a keen eye for the smallest little details or obscure things that would normally slip by most people.  I'm annoying,

    Hello Rosie:

We're noticers because we have an abiding curiosity..  Some people are told to keep their head down and don't question things..  That's NOT you and me.

It's called paying attention, do you?

I notice that you've created a false dichotomy here. There are no such categories of people. Most people are prone to notice certain things but not other things. Hardly anyone notices everything, hardly anyone notices nothing at all.

It depends on a combination of things, what you're doing at the time and what interests you.
Interestingly, I'm way into movies and my girlfriend is a casual viewer, yet she's more likely to pick up on the most minute details which I'm liable to catch upon multiple viewings. So overall I suppose I'm oblivious lol.
