Similarly, maybe, I don't particularly enjoy peanut butter (it's OK, I don't despise it) but I like Reese's peanut butter cups. And I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Hi Welby~ :) I like all of the above. I especially like celery and peanut butter. Have you ever tried that healthy, tasty, treat? I don't think that is weird. Maybe you don't like to stickyness of peanut butter on the roof of your mouth. I know I don't. I like peanut butter, a lot; but, I couldn't just eat a spoonful of it without a milk or something to drink chaser. :) :)
Dear Candy Lover. Let us bond on your hatred of Tootsie Rolls. The pops are even worse to me. Putting hard candy around a lump of pretend chocolate does little to improve any flavor. WHAT IS THAT TOOTSIE ROLL FLAVOR EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE ANYWAY? It tastes like someone hardened some corn syrup and added unknown junk to it. It certainly is not chocolate. I hate it. The end.
Hi Mer. I am happy venting at present. This means I hate it but I'm happy and good morning because Tootsie Rolls have no fight in the Trump Impeachment. So, I am happy venting,. Stay tuned for the Trump angry venting that goes into my daily morning routine. Sigh. LOL
I try every morning to have my cup of coffee and tune into the morning news. Huge smiles!
We could introduce Tootsie Rolls to Trump. Their shapes are similar and they both start with "T." You aren't fond of either. Three things, right there, they have in common. They might be a good match! :) :)
I don't think it is weird. They are two different candies with rewards. One reward you get after performing a task with your tongue. The other reward is when you can get it out of the wrapper after it has melted. It's not nearly as fun as the pop!
I'm not a big fan. Neither have much of a taste. The hard candy on the outside always breaks before I get to the tootsie, and both stick to my teeth.
Have you counted how many licks it takes to get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop? ;) :)

I hear ya! For me, it's not, I don't have the patience, it's that the pop, itself, falls apart before I actually have just the tootsie remaining. Maybe I have really acidic saliva. I also lose count somewhere along the way. I mean, you have to suck it at certain points or it drips down your hand and gets everything sticky. I don't know how many licks the sucking qualifies for as in counting licks to the center. I just reread that and it wasn't meant to be anything but innocent. Please don't take offense. :) :)
