Please explain it to me!

By representing that the US cannot allocate $9 million for Zika, you are simply not telling the truth. As of the end of August, the US CDC had allocated $222 million on Zika and had spent $194 million. The democrats were holding up a $1.1 billion allocation for Zika because of their sacred cow Planned Parenthood.

$81 million was shifted to Zika vaccine research just in August alone.

    The truth next time, please?

  • Israel has been receiving welfare from the US for much to long.

We can't afford national healthcare,  free college tuition, Social Security increases, but we are handing out money at a time when the wealthy are screaming that their taxes are to high.

If Socialism is so terrible, why do engage in programs that are pure socialism like subsidies for corporations, Social security, Medicare, the VA and freebie handouts to countries like Israel who engage in massive human rights violations.

Since when do we get the truth about anything in the media? This is why you have to write questions such as mine, so we can get other reports about what is really going on.

Do you believe everything you read or hear?

Somewhere there is a truth out there.

It's really sad when the media blames "Congress" when the Democrats block a bill, and blame the "Republicans" when they do it. It all boils down to Planned Parenthood. They already get over $500 million a year of our taxpayer money for 'non-abortion' healthcare services. Do they really need more money for condoms?

Senate Democrats have voted against the bill because he denies any additional funds to Planned Parenthood that already received $500 million in non-abortion assistance. It's the media that blames "Congress" when the Dems block a bill, but "Republicans" when they do. More biased reporting by the majority of the press!

The US really likes Israel. The wikileaks docs suggest that the USA pushed against Assad with the thinking it could help Israel.

IT Pro, the US couldn't are less about Israel. If Israel listened to their suggestions, they might, but they don't. The Middle East has been a wreck because of Israel and US policies. Always blocking any solution. Money is always the big motivator. Do you think the US would be helping any country to the tune of $38 Billion just because of religious beliefs? Ha! No way! If our big banks and corporations make big money, that is what they care about.

The war in Syria? We make money there too.

Sweetheart.... Finding $1.9 billion for fighting  Zika not a problem.... Republicans who want to tie a funding ban  to Planned Parenthood as well as other behind- closed- doors spending riders to the Zika Bill is the problem !

Well the Democrats know all about the 'behind-closed-doors spending riders' ---- just look at the (UN)Affordable Care Act. Both sides have riders in the Zika bill, but it's the non-funding of PP that gets to the Dems. The Dems need to pass the bill. PP already gets $1/2 Billion. They can redirect some of that funding to Zika areas to pass out their condoms.

  • Because it's Israel and they are the USA's biggest welfare recipient. It's about time they start supporting themselves.

Who knows?  I have yet to see what is so terrible about that virus.  Billions are funneled into paying for all kinds of disease research.

If you are pregnant, you need to worry.  No one else cares that much.   There are a lot of viruses to stay away from when you are pregnant.  It is not this death threat that everyone is trying to make it out to be.  AIDS was and now is contained.  So, maybe there are other worse viruses to worry about at present.

Pregnant women should not get measles either.  Or lots of other viruses that cause birth defects.

  • Yeah when we have a whole generation of pinheads because of that kind of foolish thinking, you'll complain about the healthcare costs to support them.

  • Some people believe Zika is the new Ebola.  It feels like we're just spinning the Disease Roulette wheel sometimesf.

With Zika, you don't bleed from the eyes, bleed from wherever...so it's less scary to many people than Ebola.

That $38 billion could go a long way in the US towards a single-payer healthcare system or for medical research :)

The reason you do not get truth from "the media" is simple to understand. you use lib sources, and they lie.

Throwing a falsely premised question up on Answermug is NOT the way of people who must hold some credibility. How about go to Google first, find at least three and preferably five sources, including any that are as close to the source as possible. For example, all government agencies including the CDC post their budgets, and many line items, for public viewing. Then you can post the truth BEFORE someone has to correct you.

Republicans never tell the truth. You should correct them once in a while. Trump lies consistently. The media doesn't fact-check him.
