Indira Gandhi of India...know for forced sterilization of her people. Civil liberties and democracy was suspended during The Emergency. Opposition leaders were arrested.

There are plenty of dictator's wives who had power within their own rights. And they were just as bad of not worse.

You must MUST read the life of Sante Kimes.  These women, listed below, are not rulers.  They are examples of how women are just as rotten.

You just gotta.  She makes Trump look nice.  Women are vicious.  And some enjoy it.

Sante' was the only woman ever to be convicted of owning slaves.  I mean this wasn't the CIVIL war, this was the 1960's.  She would recruit young, poor immigrants and promise them a great life, and then lock them up in her mansion and refuse to let them leave to even go outdoors. They were beaten and starved just for her pleasure.  She murdered a woman in New York just to steal her mansion and got caught for that one.  She totally destroyed her son's life by making him a brainwashed accomplice since he was a young child.  She was so awful, I am not doing it justice.

Then there was Celeste Beard who sought out a millionaire, married him and had her friend blow his guts out in his own bed.  She wanted his money.  He was very generous to her and she wanted it all.  She got caught.

Karla Homolka, as a wedding present, gave her fiance' Paul Bernardo, a gift.  Her sister.  They got her drunk and he raped her sister because he wanted a virgin and Karla was not a virgin.  The sister died.  They accidentally overdosed the sister on sleeping pills and booze.  Oooops.

    Never thought about it again.

That is even more hideous than Donald. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at November 30, 2019 1:38 AM MST

To know they exist is enough misery for me Sharon. I certainly would not spend any time reading about all the horrible details. Not my cuppa. Thank you thought for the information. Sad that it is so. SIGH.

    Queen Mary I of England

    Queen Mary I
Mary I, born on 18 February 1516 and died on 17 November 1558. She was Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. Her brutal persecution of Protestants caused her opponents to give her the sobriquet “Bloody Mary”. She was the only surviving child born of the ill-fated marriage of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon. Mary is chiefly remembered for temporarily and violently returning England to Catholicism. Many prominent Protestants were executed for their beliefs leading to the moniker “Bloody Mary”. Fearing the gallows a further 800 Protestants left the country, unable to return until her death.

Eva Peron wasn't the kind of gal you'd bring home to mother.

It's funny L Eva Peron was the one who came to mind. There was a musical made about her I think wasn't there? "Don't cry for me Argentina" was the song I remember from it. But apparently there were more than a few who were as cruel evil and disgusting as men. Sad that. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

She was the first to come to my mind, too.  Yes, there was a Broadway play about her.  Hope you and Jim had a good Thanksgiving.  I'm still stuffed!  Happy Saturday. :)

It was quiet and peaceful L. Honestly holidays are not my cheeriest times. I mostly just get through them. Thanksgiving is my favorite though I don't need a special day to be thankful appreciative grateful. I'm that every day. Hope next year is better for all of us except 4D (ding dong dementia don) and his cabal et al and all the toady sycophants.

Agreed.  Sometimes holidays remind us of happier times.  Yes, I am thankful for many things - friends, family, a good job.
