  • Thank you! I do not dread reading it. I like reading anyway.

There is a reason.  You are not on here (or weren't) continuously for 12 years.  I have a different perspective.  It gets tiring the back and forth.  But have at it.  Go for it, and I applaud your being able to look at it with new eyes.  Mine are blinded from the MUG light.

  • The mug light can also be the magic light in a forest when we open our eyes at the right time and with the will to see something :

    Salty gave the appropriate answer.

To take a more simplistic tack, humans very clearly invented many gods, a thousand or so are known, and over the centuries have scratched the list down to one. Maybe not slaughter so much as attrition. Lol

  • And who do you think that scratched to One God is?

Called by various names, Yahweh, Allah, Jehova, God of Abraham.
    Similar script, same lineage.

    They can try.
I think that is called IDIOT SUICIDE and is akin to an apple trying to kill the Apple Tree. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at December 13, 2019 10:05 AM MST

Taking the question literally ... it would be impossible for a mortal to slaughter an all-powerful deity (aka "god").
Even the ancient Greek tales require a special weapon to slay a god.  And their gods were not all-powerful.

Taking the question figuratively ... I would not say there is any "slaughter".
    Rather, there is shunning.
Of course, if you believe that the power of a "god" comes from the number of believers ... then humans have "starved to death" many "gods" throughout the centuries.

  • Hubert Reeves holds a speech somewhere, according to the image, and he formulates dramatic words to be heard - like I did with my question.
